Meet Our Creative Team Brian McLemore Brian graduated from Southern Oregon State College with a degree in Business Administration. He began his career with Pacific Retirement Services (PRS) in 1986, and now serves as one of its Executive Vice Presidents. Brian is known throughout the corporation for his vision, dedication, and sense of humor--the latter quality being the reason he's so often designated as the Master of Ceremonies for special events. In addition to overseeing construction and expansion for PRS and its affiliates, Brian heads up the very high-energy prsMedia team. Not only does he have to control the wacky creative types within the department, he also has to contain and direct the energy of the hard-driving production folks. As the only male in the Media group, Brian does a great job of holding his own, especially when attending departmental celebrations such as baby showers and birthday lunches. For more information about Brian, visit the PRS Key Management website. Jennifer Jacobs Jennifer is a thirteen-year veteran of the advertising world. Prior to joining prsMedia, Jennifer worked at one of southern Oregon’s largest advertising agencies, where she served in various capacities over the years. For four years, she served as the firm’s General Manager, overseeing operations and production. For many years, she also served as a Regional Media Buyer, where she placed media for large multi-state corporations throughout ten Western states. Jennifer is an alumna of Southern Oregon State College (now Southern Oregon University), where she majored in business marketing and minored in vocal performance. During college, Jennifer performed in many musicals, operettas, and dinner theatre shows. She also entered the competition for Miss Rogue Valley 1987—and won! That same year, she was also a top-10 finalist in the Miss Oregon contest. As Jennifer says, “Hey, it paid for a year of school!” Since graduating, Jennifer has continued to engage in her lifelong love of musical performance. She is a classically trained vocalist and is currently a member of the Rogue Valley Chorale in Medford, Oregon. In 1995, Jennifer toured Scandinavia with the Chorale, and in 2000, she performed with the Chorale at New York’s famous Carnegie Hall, something she considers her greatest musical achievement. Jennifer also has a profound love for animals, and she regularly volunteers at the Jackson County Animal Shelter where she tries to find permanent homes for as many animals as possible. She’s also a beginning dog musher! She has two Siberian Huskies at home and enjoys taking them out for training runs on her new “Diggler” Scooter. Ellen Kimball With 25 years of experience participating in and leading creative endeavors of all types, Ellen is well-suited to her dual role as prsMedia's Creative Director and Copy Director. She joined PRS 5-1/2 years ago when prsMedia was first formed, starting out as the department's sole copywriter. She now supervises the incredibly talented creative team at prsMedia, ensuring that the content and design of all printed materials and websites is up to corporate standards. She also oversees still photo shoots, TV commercials, and informational videos for PRS's many affiliates and management clients. Originally from Los Angeles, Ellen graduated magna cum laude from UCLA-majoring in Theatre Arts. After graduation, she became a working actress appearing in a variety of theatrical productions, feature films, network comedies, soap operas, national commercials, and industrial films. She was also founder and president of Blue Line Theatre Company in LA where she branched into the world of production, executive producing three theatrical shows a year. She also produced twice yearly short-form showcases at the Tiffany Theatre on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood. In the mid 1980s, Ellen further expanded her artistic horizons by starting to write, and by 1991, she was devoting her creative efforts exclusively to writing. Her penned works include screenplays; CD-ROMs; promotional videos; a nationally televised TV show; magazine articles; and hundreds of brochures, ads, newsletters, and other marketing materials. Immediately prior to joining prsMedia, Ellen spent two years as the editor at Southern Oregon University, and one year as editor and contributing writer for The Southern Oregonian, the university's magazine. Sherri Camp Prior to 1994, there was no World Wide Web, so like many webmasters today, Sherri's professional career began in an altogether different field. With a natural aptitude for numbers, Sherri chose banking as her profession of choice. Then in 1990, Sherri went to work in the Accounting Department for the local Medford newspaper, the Mail Tribune. When the World Wide Web was introduced, Sherri's attention was immediately drawn to it, and she started learning all she could about the new technology. She taught herself HTML, and began creating webpages and exploring the almost limitless boundaries of the information highway. When the Mail Tribune went online with its own website, Sherri's self-taught skills came in handy: she was reassigned to the New Media Department as the Administrative Coordinator, and within three months was promoted to Webmaster--or Web "Goddess," as her boss liked to call her. In 1999, the Oregon Newspaper Publishers Association awarded Sherri first place for Best Newspaper Website, and in 2000 the same association awarded her second place prize. Now at prsMedia, Sherri has been busy revamping the corporate website, creating new sites for PRS-affiliated and managed communities, and setting up resident Intranet systems. In spring 2001, Sherri's hard work and talent was appropriately recognized--her PRS corporate website was awarded the Gold Medal for "Best Website" in the World Wide Web Mature Media Awards. In 2002, the American Association of Webmaster Awards recognized Sherri's work on the PRS corporate website with yet another Gold Medal for excellence. Lisa Rush Lisa joined prsMedia just about two years ago, when she moved to Oregon from Alaska. As the department's first in-house Graphic Artist, Lisa has helped the creative team streamline the production process allowing the department to deliver its clients beautifully designed printed pieces more quickly and more affordably. Prior to coming aboard, Lisa was the Graphic Artist at Spenard Builders Supply in Anchorage, Alaska. She also has experience in classified advertising, accounting, sales, and customer service. She holds two associate's degrees from Walla Walla Community College in Washington State, the first in business management and the second in computer applications. In her free time, Lisa enjoys immersing herself in a variety of creative undertakings: she is a stained glass, pastel, water fountain, and metal work artist. She also enjoys camping, rafting, and gardening. Diana May This is a varied position that requires range, and Diana May has 20 years of Communications experience to contribute.
