The prsMedia Winning Streak Continues in 2002
July 2002
In
July, the Mature Market Resource Center notified prsMedia that it had
won six more awards in the National Mature Media Awards Program. Of special
note is that two of the six awards were Gold Medals for Excellence, a
prize that is rarely awarded. With the addition of these six new awards,
the prsMedia group has now garnered a grand total of twenty-three awards--four
of them Gold Medals!
The Mature Media Awards Program recognizes
the nation's finest advertising, marketing, and educational materials
designed and produced for older adults. This year, more than 1,100 entries
were judged by a distinguished panel of mature-market experts from across
the United States. Entries were rated for overall excellence of design,
copywriting, content, creativity, and relevance to the senior market.
The two Gold Medal winning entries were the University
Retirement Community show brochure and the Saratoga Retirement Community
promotional video. The Villager, the newsletter for Saratoga Retirement
Community, brought home a Bronze, while the Pacific Retirement Services
2001 Annual Report and Outlook, the newsletter for Rogue
Valley Manor, earned Merit Awards.
This
marks prsMedia's third year of operation, and the third year in
a row that it has been presented with Mature Media Awards. In 2000, its
first year of operation, prsMedia received a total of five awards for
various marketing materials, and the PRS corporate website was named "Best
Website" in the Fall 2000 WWW Mature Media Awards. In 2001, the group
was presented with a total of twelve awards--two of which were Gold Medal
winners. The PRS corporate
website, which was designed by prsMedia Webmaster Sherri Camp, took
Gold for "Best
Website" in the Spring 2001 WWW Mature Media Awards. The panel
of judges chose the site for its "great photos, graphics, and content."
The other Gold Medal Prize was given for the University Retirement Community
promotional video. In 2002, the PRS corporate website was presented with
yet another Gold
Web Awardl-this one from the American Association of Webmaster Awards.
The judges noted the site's "great navigation, graphics, and appearance,"
and said they were "very impressed with the quality content, creativity,
and design.
Those involved with the design, copywriting, and production
of the entries are Vicki Mattson, Ellen Hilton, Diane Abdo, Kara Peccia,
and Chris VanFleet.
Vicki Mattson, Vice President of prsMedia, said, "We
were delighted to once again take part in the Mature Media Awards Program.
What drives our department to excel is the knowledge that we are providing
a valuable service not only to our clients, but also to the seniors we
communicate with."
